Hi my name is Skyla and me and my partner Melody are fundraising to help save our baby boy Wilbur , who is a 1 year old rescue domestic long hair . He is the sweetest boy and we could really use your help . About a week ago, we noticed Wilbur could not keep his food down . We thought not to much of it and changed his food , thinking it was stress related or kibble related . The vomiting did not stop and got worse . He has been throwing up his water and food and stomach bile for almost a week now , vomiting on average of 7 times a day. He has lost a significant amount of body weight and is not himself at all. We took him to the vet and got him an X-ray which he also had to be sedated for and it showed 3 irregular things in his stomach that should not be there. Not even the vet knows what they are . They could be tumours , they could be something he’s swallowed but all they know is that whatever it is it needs to come out immediately. We are having to take him to the emergency vet , which is very very costly, as he will have to stay over night and we don’t know what sort of costs we are facing but we know it will be well over the thousand mark . With dealing with the stress of being sick and now a financial cost like this , we are really struggling . We are not ones to ask for help with this stuff , but our dog also had to get surgery last week and we are struggling a lot to even just pay the $600 bill for his X-ray and sedation . Anything helps and we are so grateful for any help we can get . Thank you so much for reading this far , and please pray for our baby boy
Your donation will go towards :
-Wilbur’s ICU bill
This includes things like
Fluid drip
Electrolytes
Pain medication
Ultrasounds (sonography, 3 in total )
Iv Catheter
Biochemistry profile
Consultations
Overall ICU hospitalisation fee (a large fee is charged to us for every 12 hours Wilbur is in hospital)
Wilbur’s emergency surgery
This surgery is amounting to a estimated $3,000. It is to remove whatever is found in the stomach , we will potentially need to pay a biopsy fee if it turns out to be a tumour to determine if it is benign or not.
Any ongoing care Wilbur may need
- follow up consultations
- medications
- further ultrasounds and X-rays to ensure everything is working properly after surgery .
