Support for Kaidyn and Elicia

This is Kaidyn, he's two years old. Every picture I've ever seen of him he's full of smiles. But this June Kaidyn was admitted to the hospital once they found E.Coli in his stool. Through this infection he developed Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). Since being admitted he has spent approximately 70 days in the hospital - most of it in the ICU, undergone over 7 surguries, daily dialysis, blood transfusions. He's had problems with high blood pressure and blood potassium, he's been on several different medications. His bowel exploded causing him to go septic requiring imediate surgery and a clostimy bag. This little boy has gone through absolutely everything, these are just some of the things this little boy has had to go through. Today his mom Elicia posted that they are being relocated to the Ronald McDonald house in Calgary, Alberta on Friday. They live in Southern Alberta but have to stay in Calgary as he still requires daily dialysis and his family is still hopeful that he will not require a kidney transplant. Being in a hospital bed for so long Kaidyn will also undergo physiotherapy to regain his strength and mobility. I have known Elicia for years while we were both living in Lethbridge and I know that her son Kaidyn is her entire world. She has not left the hospital since the day he was admitted. For this reason, friends of Elicia and her family hope to raise some money to ease the burden so they can focus strictly on Kaidyn's recovery.
