Winnie the Warrior

Hello,
My name is Lois M. and I am raising money to pay for a veterinary bill that my sister has recieved for care of her beloved dog Winnie.
Winnie, a 4 year old mixed breed, was struck by a pick-up truck right in front of her home on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. The gentleman that struck her did stop to help. He was on his way to a fire call , he is a volunteer fire fighter. As my brother-in-law was racing out to help, Winnie had run off into the woods injured and scared.
We had many people come out that day to help search for her, one particular person traveled over an hour away to aid in the search, which lasted for three days. The area she ran into is heavily wooded. We searched both night and day, high and low. We just couldn't find her. Flyers were made by another volunteer and placed all over town and in local businesses. The prayers, advice and concern for Winnie's well being are overwhelming. People on social media just kept reminding us to " keep the faith, she will come home" . My nephew who is 11 years old, was on his knees nightly, crying and praying to God to "please bring Winnie back home".
Today, Tuesday, April 26th at approximately 1:45 p.m. Winnie came home!! She appeared on her back porch, injured, and scared. Knowing now what her injuries are, we can't believe she climbed the stairs up to the deck. We couldn't believe it! It certainly was a miracle
Winnie has serious injuries to include a broken left leg in two places, a dislocated right hip, a crushed right foot, bad infected wound on her right thigh and was running a high fever when she was brought in.
The doctor is optimistic about her prognosis. As a cost saving measure, amputation was one of the choices for her broken leg and crushed foot. My sister doesn't want to have the doctor amputate Winnies leg. Winnie will be undergoing wound debridement and wound vac placement tonight. Her fever has since subsided. She will then be undergoing an operation to repair her broken leg, crushed foot and dislocated hip on Thursday April 28th.
As many of you know, veterinary care of this magnitude is not cheap. My sister and her husband are trying to undertake this on their own, but their funds are limited. So I have decided to put this campaign together for them.
Any monetary donation you can offer would be most appreciated!
We intend to pay it forward as we have recieved much help and advice.
We thank you and Winnie thanks you in advance for all your help!!
