Melody's Mission Adventure In Africa

Ever since I was 10 years old I knew I wanted to be a missionary. At 14, I knew that I was called to do missions in Southern Africa. I am now 23 and I am finally starting to see my life come into alignment with the dream God has placed in my heart. When I went to Romania this last July, I knew it was just the beginning of many more adventures to come. What I did NOT know is just how soon the next adventure would be taking place!About two weeks ago, I felt impressed to apply to the Harvest School of Missions. This is a two month long, elite mission school that takes place in Pemba, Mozambique. The school provides daily classes, discipleship in a community, and hands-on experience with missions. It is exactly what I have been looking for. And I am excited to announce that a week after I applied, I received a letter of acceptance!On top of this, I was also accepted to do an extended outreach (December 8th - 18th) in the South African bush for 10 days! Many of the people in these communities have never heard the name of Jesus. Our team has the opportunity to change that. As the Harvest School teams have gone into these rural places throughout the years, they have seen witch doctors delivered, people supernaturally healed, and many come to salvation in Jesus.I have already bought my plane tickets and paid for tuition- so I am going! I leave in exactly one month (October 6th) and return December 20th. Though I have paid for the most vital parts of this trip, I still welcome your support. This time in Harvest School is going to prepare me and mark me for the rest of my life, and I would love for you to be a part of that.The expenses for this trip far exceed$3000, however, that is what I am putting as my goal. This money will help cover about $500 of my airfare as well as all of the miscellaneous things needed for this trip, including immunizations & medications that are not covered by health insurance.
