25 Carrick Ave Project’s mission is to provide educational programming and access to entry-level jobs in the event technology industry. Aligned with our corporate partner Hearcorp (a high end event technology company), we prepare students and provide career opportunities in the production and commercial broadcast industry through workshops, hands-on mentoring, and apprenticeships with onsite and local professional productions.

Have you ever wondered how a live event is produced or broadcast over cable television? 25 Carrick Ave Project has developed a series of programs including in-school workshops, after-school programming, and apprenticeships that provide STEAM/STEM learning opportunities for low income youth of immigrant and refugee families as well as underserved populations in Pittsburgh’s Hilltop Neighborhoods. These programs explore the growing Commercial Broadcasting, Entertainment and Event Technology Industries from capturing live audio, adding pre recorded sound samples, synching audio and video, animations, graphics, live sound production and more.

Our goal is to prepare a generation of students for entry into the commercial broadcast and live events industry by creating programs for students of all grade levels.

We are hoping to raise $2500 in 25 days for 25 Carrick Ave Project to purchase our own Midas M32 mixing board. Why? Because we are reliant upon Hearcorp for use of equipment and as our programs grow we need access. As the events industry grows so does Hearcorps need for their equipment and to be able to continue to train the next generation we need to purchase our own equipment.
