David's Special Need

This is my son, David.  He has MMR.  That means he is mildly mentally retarded.  It is the result of having a TBI (traumatic brain injury).  Along with this, he has other difficulties that keep him from functioning as the rest of us do in the 'real' world.  David will never receive a standard high school diploma, never go to college, likely never marry, nor drive a car, and never have a career.  He has four younger siblings that are passing him by in life!  This breaks our hearts, because it makes him sad that he cannot keep up.

We are a family who lives day-to-day with no ability to have a savings for any special needs or emergencies.   David's mom cannot (and has not) been able to have a full-time job as she needs to be available for him.  We have put off for years getting the proper legal guardianship that we need to protect him due to lack of funds.

This account is being set up as a desperate plea to be able to seek legal guardianship.  The last we checked, the cost will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $3,500.  If you can help in any way, please use this gofundme account to make it easier for you, our friends.  Thank you again and again!  We feel so blessed just to know that you care for David.
