Landon Knight Memorial Fund

Donation protected

On Tuesday morning, August 30th, Cory and Annie went in for a routine bio-physical ultra sound to see the progress of their baby boy who was soon to arrive on September 12th. During the ultra sound they discovered that little Landon's heartbeat was no longer there. Right away they were admitted to Salina Regional Health Center to be induced. After a long 30+ hours of being in labor, Annie finally gave birth to Landon Cory Knight at 4 pounds 3 ounces and 18 inches long. A beautiful little angel.
Landon was originally going to be born in Kansas City, Missouri at Children's Mercy Hospital. When Annie was 6 months pregnant, Landon was given the diagnosis of TE Fitsula/Esophageal Atresia. What this means is that his esophagus and stomach were not connected. After many doctors appointments, Annie and Cory were assured and given the hope that Landon's condition was fixable with surgery soon after delivery. Unfortunately, because of Landon's condition it caused Annie to have more amniotic fluid than normal. The Doctor explained that with the extra fluid it made it easier for Landon to get wrapped up by his umbilical cord.
Landon's passing was a shock and devastation to all of us, especially with only a few weeks left until he arrived. Landon will forever be remembered, and have a special place in my heart.
Cory and Annie have been together for 4 years, high school sweethearts. Their strength and love for one another has and will continue to help them get through this tragic loss that no one should ever have to experience. This memorial fund that I have created for Cory and Annie, is to help support them with their expenses during this difficult time. As you can imagine, daily bills still exist and funerals are very expensive. With everything that happened so suddenly, the financial toll seems overwhelming.
As Annie's sister, my goal is to find ways to help out in every way possible for the two. Annie and Cory have always been there for me, and would drop everything they are doing to help anyone. They're two amazing people that are now needing your help. Whether it is prayers or donations both are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
