My name is Rhonna Booth, I am setting up this to raise money for my stepson Bryden Spooner who is only 23 years old and will be 24 on December 22, 2015 and already fighting his second battle with Cancer this year, but this time it is growing and prognosis is severely worse.

Bryden and his soul mate, Morgan Lafleur, and Brydens family are not strangers to to the long fight of battling cancer. Bryden Spooner, his Mom (Amanda Hogarth), his Dad (Peter Spooner), Sister (Andrea Hogarth), Niece (Taylor), Brother (Lynden, Peter and Rhonnas Son) and stepbrothers (Jordan Allen and Skyler Allen) all went down this road once with Andreas daughter Taylor, when she was only 6 years old. She battled Whilms Cancer for one year at Calgary Childrens Hospital and thankfully she won!

During the end of her battle they did get the bad news that she was not the only family member with cancer. Amanda and Peter were told their son, Bryden, was now diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma! The news devastated the family but they all banded together and supported him while he battled it with heavy doses of Chemotherapy and an 80% chance of success. The chemo treatments really took a toll on Bryden but he persevered as he has a really good prognosis. At the end of treatments the doctors were positive they had won. Then Bryden began having chest pains and went to the hospital and it was there they did tests that got forwarded to his Oncologist. Bryden recently got the call that they had found what was causing the chest pain. They found two large tumors that had tripled in size since August 2015 and were between his lung and heart. Because of their close proximity to his heart they are unable to do radiation or surgery. Because of this his only option is Chemotherapy with a 50% success rate and stem cell transplant and/or bone marrow transplant. The chemo can be done in the city which he lives, Kelowna, B.C. Canada, but the transplants have to be done in Vancouver, B.C. But it will require him to be in Vancouver for 4 months. If that does not work there are experimental treatments he can try that can cost upwards of $30,000.00!

Please help Bryden and his family with the expenses of being displaced for the time it takes to help Bryden through this horrible ordeal. Also to raise enough funds for Bryden in the horrible chance the chemotherapy and transplants are unsuccessful that way the family does not have to panic to gather enough funds to try the experimental drugs that are out there that our Canadian Medical Plan currently do not cover.
