Giving People Flipped Cars - 2nd Chance Flips

Donation protected

Howdy! Thank you for taking the time to check this out today.

I had this idea to flip cars months ago because I wanted to work on cars for fun - I’m the kind of person that has to be doing something “productive” in my free time. The thing is, I didn't need any more cars. At the time I was making good money and had cash to spare, and I enjoy giving, so the idea of spending money on these cars and giving them away would achieve my desire to work on cars while allowing me to make a difference in someone else’s life. I loved the concept, but did not yet feel equipped to begin - what I lacked was time and focus. I thought this would be a great idea for a YouTube channel, something I've always wanted to do, and my hope is that the YouTube channel could help bring in more funds and get more cars flipped and it could be a good way to share the whole experience. I loved the idea, but life got busy and it was put on the back-burner.

Months later, I was laid off due to Covid-19. I loved my job and was sad to be let go, but now I have a couple months that I can dedicate to getting this thing running! An unfortunate circumstance is being transformed into a huge opportunity to turn 2nd Chance Flips from a hopeful idea into a reality. My long term goal would be running 2nd Chance Flips full time and involving my local community and businesses in the whole process.

This is where you come in!

I have acquired the first vehicle, 2010 Jeep Commander, and I'm looking into some potential candidates for our first donated flip. The candidate will be someone who needs a vehicle for daily activities such as going to work, accessing medical care, taking care of family members, or other necessary activities which most of us with cars take for granted. We will also ensure that this person is legally and financially able to drive and maintain ownership of a car.

This Jeep needs the following repairs to ensure that it will be safe and reliable.

Engine and fluids
Catalytic converter assembly
Transmission coolant line
2 wheels and 4 tires
Glove box trim piece
Battery

I was able to get this car for $200. The $3300 budget for this fundraiser covers all of these items as well as the transaction fees. I am working to lower that budget by finding cheaper parts, or using connections to get things for less. I will be doing the repairs with a professional in his shop - he is donating his time and space for this cause. (Machado's Auto Care - Garland, TX)

If you have the ability to donate, your donations will go towards the expenses required to repair the vehicle as well as the operational expenses to make the videos documenting the process (these will be posted on our Youtube channel). Any excess funds raised will go straight into the next vehicle flip, for which we already have leads!

You can help by:
1) Sharing this page with people you feel will connect with and support the cause.
2) Donating any amount, big or small, to support this campaign.

Thank you!
