WHAT WE DO:
The Lisbon Arab Film Festival (LAFF) is a cultural initiative that aims to bring a selection of the most recent and acclaimed films from the Arab world to Portugal. Our objective is to foster cross-cultural dialogue through cinema by promoting understanding and a different analysis of the Arab world, beyond stereotypes.
LAST YEAR:
The 1st edition, in October 2024, has exceeded all expectations. We almost reached 100% of attendance (2,362 out of 2,368 available seats) and the films presented were acclaimed by the public and the critics. This success clearly shows the relevance of this event as a “window” to promote the excellence of Arab cinema and the unique cultures of the Arab world.

Building on that momentum, our ambition is to go a step further with the 2d edition, which will be hosted again by Culturgest and Cinemateca between 27th of September and 4th of October 2025.
