When Jennie and Nick arrived to rescue the donkeys last Sunday, they found a second Mum and baby in the field with the pair they rescued. They learned all four donkeys originally came from the same family, along with a stallion who has already been rehomed. The Mums are eight years old and have been together their entire lives. Their babies girls have also grown up together. The fact that they were living with a stallion means there's a chance both Mums could be pregnant again, but there's no way to know at this time.

Of course the Moons would have loved to rescue all four donkeys on the spot, but they only had transport space and funds for the original pair. The Moons know when they go into these places that they'll be faced with difficult situations and hard choices...they know they can't save every animal. They have to deal with the emotional toll after each rescue, but this time they are beyond devastated knowing the four have been separated, which is especially upsetting knowing where the second pair are headed.

Let's rally around our beloved Moons and help them save this second pair. With our help they can also add a purpose built shelter in the donkey field or extension on the existing forge/barn where these new Mommas and their babies can join SweetPea, Eeyore, and Tintin. We know the Moons are ready and willing to love them all, so let's save this second Mum and baby as well!
