Imagine the life you love falling apart...
Last year, Laura Schrader was living her dream as a loving wife and mother when cancer turned her world upside down. Until her diagnosis, Laura's story might not be so different than yours. Laura is a stay at home wife and mother to Mitchell, age 12 and Ashley, age 9, and married to her high school sweetheart, Tom. She is an honest, trustworthy, loyal friend who is known for her vibrant and outgoing personality.
Laura's world forever changed when she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer in May of 2015. Within hours of diagnosis, Laura was airlifted to Yale-New Haven Hospital and had emergency surgery. Her treatment has continued with more surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, physical therapy, drug trials, cat scans, tests, ER visits, and countless medical appointments. Throughout this treatment, Laura's family has been shouldering the financial burden alone.
The Schrader Family has been through a lot this year, both emotionally and financially. Recently, these medical and family support costs have become difficult for the family to bear. Laura and the entire Schrader family face a long and painful road ahead. Many people have asked Laura, "what can we do to help out"? We are asking for your financial support to help with medical expenses as Laura continues her fight against cancer. Please give generously and share her story with others.
