Joe Carrasco's final expenses
Donation protected
Dear family and friends,
Today I want to ask you for your help for the funeral expenses of my cousin Jose Carrasco.
Joe Carrasco was gone to soon at the age of 29. Being the youngest of 3 and the only boy, he was the pride and joy of the Carrasco Family. Great young man always working hard to try to provide for his family. He left behind two beautiful girls, six-year old Layla and 10 month old Emma along with his young wife Vanessa. This last year has been really hard as he fought against stomach cancer which later spread throughout his body. It has taken a toll on his parents who have worked so hard to make ends meet as they saw their baby boy fade away. He will be sorely missed.
Joe was a very intelligent young man, but like many, school was just not for him. I had the privilege of having him as my student in Algebra class my second year of teaching. Bright in math but he stopped going to school so I always say, “Hey if I failed my own cousin, what makes you think I’m not going to fail you?” He always loved that I used him as an example and would tell me, “You tell them Cuz!” Now I don’t want to fail him. I want to help relieve some of the financial stress to My tio Chelo and tia Emma. Any additional money would go to Layla and Emmita as they will continue their life without their father.
It is right when they say, Hoy por mi, manana por ti. You never know when you are going to need help. Any little bit helps. Thanks in advance and like my grandma would say whenever someone would give her something, “ Que Dios los bendiga, y les rinda su dinero como los petalos de una rosa”.
Gracias and God bless,
Letty Corral
