Bernadeta's Story

For over two years, Bernadeta has been courageously battling an incredibly difficult opponent. In July 2022, she was diagnosed with stage IV melanoma, with the BRAF V600 mutation and metastases in her lymph nodes. Tragically, a year later, the cancer spread to her brain and lungs. Now, she urgently requires brain surgery, followed by lung radiotherapy, to prevent the disease from progressing further.

Bernadeta shares her struggle in heartfelt words:

"I live with my retired parents, and my only source of income is a small benefit from the Municipal Social Welfare Center, amounting to PLN 1,250. This is not nearly enough to cover the costs of my medications, specialized diet, and travel to medical facilities. It's hard to predict how much money will be needed, but I estimate that PLN 15,000 would help cover my current needs and make it easier for me to fight this battle."

She is facing a critical operation, and the funds raised will be used to support her rehabilitation, medication, and essential day-to-day needs and holistic practices for mental health support and well being.

On December 28 and 29, we are hosting a Charity Sale of Artworks at the Interpiano Café in Sanok (ul. 3 Maja 15). Over these two days, the café will transform into a vibrant gallery featuring paintings, jewelry, and handmade crafts. Every zloty from the sale will go directly toward helping Bernadeta in her fight against this relentless illness.
