Please help Karla Lilly

My name is Stacia (Dycus) Kelaher and I am a close family friend of Karla Lilly.  Our families grew up together and our parents were very good friends and did a lot together.  Karla's dad, Al, was my brother's baseball coach at Grandview Little League, which is how our parents met and we became lifelong friends.  I played softball with Karla at Grandview Little League and we went to high school together as well and have remained close friends...I consider her family.

Karla was recently diagnosed with breast cancer (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ) and could really use the support of family and friends, emotionally and financially as she battles to get her health back.  Karla will undergo a double mastectomy within the next week or two, possible radiation (pending results of surgery) and reconstruction surgery, so she could use all the help we can give.  Karla is the mother of three young kids, Jensen, age 15, Karsen, age 12 and Kiernen, age 5 and recently started work for the State of Iowa and doesn't really have much of paid time off.  Karla is a great mother, daughter, sister and friend.  As most of you know, Karla is a very caring individual and would give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it.  I hope that we can show her the same of ourselves.

I ask that you please contribute to this fund for Karla to help cover costs for her care and any other financial burdens incurred on this difficult path; so that she can concentrate on getting better!!  I don't want her to have to worry about the financial side of this journey she is on.  I want my friend to get the care that she needs and to work on getting her health back for herself, her kids, Jenna, family and friends.

Karla is a very strong person mentally and physically; she is very much into being physically fit and although she has been given this obstacle, there is no doubt that she will fight and conquer it  as she has with all the fitness challenges she has ever done.  Karla has a lot of great friends and family that I know are here to support her every step of the way.
