Abseil for Northern Ireland Hospice
Donation protected
Hi everyone, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) has decided to get involved in fundraising for the Northern Ireland Hospice.
The Northern Ireland Hospice is a local charity that provides specialist care to over 4000 adults, babies and children every year. They provide care in people’s homes across Northern Ireland and in our adult hospice, Somerton House in Belfast and our children’s hospice, Horizon House in Newtownabbey.
It is not only patients but the entire family that are cared for as they adjust and manage life with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. The Hospice is here for those that reach the end of their life. However, they continue to provide care for their family with bereavement support.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hospice has continued to respond to families in their time of need. In addition, the last year has seen an increase in demand for their care services as they continued to care for patients during the pandemic.
Ten employees from the Belfast office have volunteered to take part in an abseil along the Europa Hotel located within Belfast city centre, to help raise funds for the Hospice. The employees are Joe Mc Cabe, Carolyn Brady, Jason Brownlee, Phil Waring, Alan Simpson, Josh Eves, Stephen Gillingham, Brian Kerr, Andrew Johnson and Will Tobin.
It will cost over £16M in the coming year to ensure that the Northern Ireland Hospice can reach out to more people when they need help, and we at RLB will be proud to contribute to such a fantastic organisation.
