After being in the foster care system for more than a decade…An ex-foster child’s dream came true…
On September 3, 2016 God called home Maleeka Tana Deal-Scott, after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer at the age of 22. As a child, Maleeka had a passion for basketball, she played all 4 years at Bullard High School in Fresno, California and was a member of Jack and Jill of America Incorporated-Fresno Chapter. She attended Fresno City College up until her health failed her. Maleeka worked at a day care center and had a passion to open up her own Day Care Facility and Foster Care Agency. She was determined to give back to her community.
She was raised by a loving foster family with her twin sister and older brother. In the last days of her life, she moved to Ventura County with her foster mom. On July 15, 2016 Maleeka’s wish came true, as she was adopted by her foster mother. Maleeka was a Christian, had strong Faith and great determination; she had a beautiful soul and had a strong will to live. She was taken from this world way too soon, but her memories will stay with us forever.
Donations will help with her funeral expenses and medical bills. Please, if you can, find it in your heart to help us lay our loved one to rest.
