"I've commanded you to be brave and strong, haven't I? Don't be alarmed or terrified, because the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
Hello Everyone,
As most of you know, my name is Emlyn and for those who don't I'm sure you know my father Motare aka Big Mo. For as long as I remember my father has always been someone that I could always go to even without asking. For as long as I can remember, he has connected with people in ways that I couldn't explain. He has a history of invovlment with youth sports and promoting education for over 25+ years amongst so much more.
In every way shape and form my father has been an amazing rolemodel for me and a backbone for many. He has been my rock and my strength. This is hard for me to share so please bear with me, I am a graduate student at Lamar University working on my Master's in Kinesiology and my resources are limited. I have been saving up on the side so that by the time my father came to my graduation I would be able to hand him a ticket to Palau to visit his mother, with the suddent news about my grandmother, I fell short. My dad has pushed him self physically and mentally to limits in order to get me to where I am at today and I owe the world to my parents. He has lived his life putting others first and himself last.
Recently we recieved news that my Grandmother, his mother, passed away. I created this page to ask for help with the expenses he needs to purchase a ticket to Palau for himself and my mother on such short notice. My grandmother's funeral is supposed to be near the end of this month, (I believe September 23) which doesn't give him much time. If you know my father, you know he has probably been up since 4 am this morning cutting firewood and delivering as we speak to earn as much as he can before taking this trip. It hurts my heart knowing how hard he is pushing himself to make ends meet at a time where the weight of the world is heavier than normal. He may not show it, but even being all the way in Texas I know how heavy my dad's heart is with this news.
This is me, asking for help to send my father, for a long overdue trip home to Palau, so that he can put his mother to rest. I ask for any small amount where ever you can, to help make this happen for my father and take just a little bit of the weight off his shoulders. I thank you all from the depths of my heart, and I love you all!
Sincerly,
Emlyn
