Help Chase & Amanda Study in Israel
Hello friends andfamily!
My lovely wife Amanda and I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Israel this spring with Dallas Theological Seminary! I will be studying Biblical Exposition and Amanda will be finishing her Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.
As many of you know, I feel called into a life of full time pastoral ministry, and Amanda seeks to gain a better knowledge of the Bible as well. Not only will this trip help to us to gain a better knowledge of the Bible (there’s nothing like studying something where it actually took place), but we also believe that this study tour of the Holy Land will increase our ability to effectively communicate the contents of the Bible to others. We will actually be walking where Jesus walked, and the excitement and information we will gain during this time will undoubtedly flow out from us into the hearts and minds of so many others who need to hear about the majesty of God.
Along with our studies, we’ll get to do things such as:
- Going to the field where David faced goliath
- Swimming in the Med, the Dead, the Red, and the Sea of Galilee
- Walking on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
- Wandering the wilderness where the Israelites wandered
- Visiting the place of Christ’s birth, the locations of his ministry, and the place of his death and resurrection.
All that being said, my entire life I continue to learn that God is the sole director of everything that happens in my life. There is nothing to difficult for Him, and financial obstacles are no hindrance him. Nevertheless, it is no secret that trips overseas are not inexpensive. The total cost of our trip is approaching $4,000 for each of us ($8,000 total). We’ve been tremendously blessed to receive a partial scholarship thanks to some gracious donors from the seminary, but we still have a ways to go. We created this GoFundMe page with the goal of raising $3,000 which will cover the cost of both of our flights and the rest of our travel expenses while we are over there.
So we are humbly asking if you would prayerfully consider a financial blessing of any amount towards our study abroad experience. Despite the outcome, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read this and hope that you will consider praying for us over the next few months as we embark on our Israeli journey.
