“Katerina’s Cause” - is a cause much greater than my own personal healing as it affects us all: the cause of Global Healing.

I am inviting you to support my own personal Healing Journey and this cause of “Global Healing” by helping me to “Raise Awareness For Healing Solutions To Chronic Illness” through Healing Together.

After many years of serious health challenges, I was inspired to create my own online Health Blog where I could share my healing journey and what was/was not helping me within my healing in an effort to help others find their own truth and solution in healing. This Blog naturally progressed into a Global Healing Community called “Healing Together” with over 30,000 patients and practitioners from around the world.

What is Healing Together?
Healing Together’s cause is Global Healing. Healing Together works by creating communities in different cities and countries across the world, through these communities we create opportunities for healing. Healing is two-fold - it requires health education and then the application of this education through various means (treatments, therapies, supplements, nutrition, etc). By building communities of doctors/patients around the world we are able to connect doctors/patients based on needs. We educate the public first so they understand what treatments they may require, then we connect them with practitioners/companies who may provide these therapies/products. If products/therapies do not exist within a location, as a community, we petition to bring them there. If products/therapies are not affordable, through community demand we negotiate community discounts. In these means we overcome Geographic and Financial barriers to healing.

Our Mission and Vision is to raise the bar of health consciousness world-wide and create a Global Community of self-sufficient people, not patients, thus empowering the individual and changing the relationship and paradigm between doctor and patient forever. Our vision is Global Healing; making healthcare affordable and accessible to every, single, individual on this planet regardless of where they live or their level of income.

We do not heal alone, we heal together. When we try to do it alone we are fighting to just survive. When we join together with those on a common mission with a common vision from a heart centered space of divine love - we stop surviving and begin thriving. In this community of assets where we all share our resources, 1+1 no longer equals 2 it equals infinite numbers of possibilities and opportunities for healing. In this community we break barriers, bondages and any feelings of scarcity, lack or fear, as they are replaced with love and abundance. Community is what divides burdens and helps to diminish them so that they are able to be carried and overcome. Human beings were designed for connection, the proof in the umbilicus from mother to child. We do not heal alone, we Heal Together.

How do I know this? Because I am living Healing Together each and everyday. It is the reflection of the fruits of my struggle on an external scale. It is my paper-trail of resources and information I have left behind and continue to add too so that others may find their way out of the chaos. When I was bedridden and could not travel for treatment I had to beg and negotiate with certain doctors to visit me at home, rounding up local patients so that it would be worth their while. I learned the art of negotiation, communication and networking in these trying times. I know what it’s like to be cut off from community and resources so instead of seeking resources I had to learn to become very resourceful. I’ve watched those cut off from community support and resources take their own lives from not being able to carry this burden, I’ve watched others die from the natural causes of illness because they did not have the healing information they required to create opportunities which could open new doors for their healing.

My Story
Before falling ill, from as young as I could remember, I wanted to be a Doctor. I played with Doctor equipment from below 5 years of age when there was no one else in the family who ever was a physician and there was no way for me to know what it meant. I worked my whole life towards this goal, gifted as a child, over-achiever in all my studies, breaking exam records in University while studying a pre-medical program. When I was to begin medical-school I fell seriously ill and went from normal to bedridden/wheelchair bound within a period of 6 months where I had to drop-out of school and start living what I always wanted to prevent. As a Biochemist in school working in the lab I was exposed to heavy metals and microbes which lead to my immune deficiency and ultimately the perfect storm for Lyme Disease to take hold. My brother, Dr Nick Baboulas, changed professions from a Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemist to a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) here in Toronto after experiencing a paradigm shift through my healing journey and is also involved in Healing Together's mission.

Evolving Paradigm - connecting to the “Cause”
I have learned key lessons by having a background in science and being almost on both sides of the Doctor/Patient fence. Everyone’s healing is unique in that their causes are also unique. For example, my illness is much more than just Lyme Disease, after a lot of testing, research and uncovering of my own ignorance’s, I have found there are components of immune dysfunction, chemical and metal toxicity, variety of different microbes that are part of the ‘infectious load’, genetic methylation and detoxification weaknesses, dental cavitations, nutritional deficiencies, dysbiosis along with opportunistic infections and immune mediated processes to be accounted for. Understanding this, helped me to evolve my paradigm from “Lyme”, “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” and “Fibromyalgia” (that are my more broader diagnoses) that many times are umbrella terms and diagnosis of exclusion which leads one to test for and treat for Lyme. The reality is there are a number of fundamental causes and when we uncover the causes and treat them, the disease labels dissolve.

Cause
For these reasons, I choose to put the focus on “Raising Awareness for Healing Solutions To Chronic Illness” and creating opportunities to heal through Healing Together as opposed to raising awareness for a disease or the specific illness “Lyme” (which is part of but not fully my issues) which can be restrictive and limiting as it is one possible cause of the many that lead to these types of neurologically fatiguing neuro-immune illnesses. Everyone’s healing is unique, what works for one person does not always work for another (I am the prime example of this through my struggle and trial/error) which is again why it is important to bring the focus back to the underlying causes of chronic illness so that people can find a variety of options and opportunities to heal through Healing Together.

Global Impact
A community is one collective consciousness. By using this event’s platform of “Katerina’s Cause” to water the belief of hope, love and healing we attract all the answers to us and cultivate heart centered Christ consciousness. Enlightenment is humility in knowing that we do not know and unlearning all the old false limiting beliefs and patterns, so that we may make space to replace them with truth which is that which never alters when alteration it finds. This truth is divine love. When we elevate love consciousness in ourselves first and lead by this example, we inspire the world to do the same.

Local Impact
The impact of this cause is both Local and Global. My brother Dr Nick Baboulas has been integrating all that we have learned the past 8 years within his practice, he is able to offer a much greater standard of care to the community for these reasons. The networks of patients/practitioners locally continue to grow through Healing Together where we are able to connect patients with more local practitioners who offer specific therapies required for their healing. Using this platform to educate the community and youth, is a means of sickness prevention. It’s not the knowledge but the application of the knowledge that is critical and impacts not only our generation and children but multiple generations and youth to come. There is nothing more important than our health and well-being which is why this message and cause is universal, not just for our community but for all. We must start with our community health and well-being first as the only way to help to transform the world is to do the work on ourselves first and change our esoteric environment. The esoteric is then reflected in our lives on an exoteric plane. Our healing and transformation, therefore, naturally inspires the rest of the world’s healing and transformation.
