Vitus needs your help! This beautiful little boy was the victim of a horrible crime, he then contracted Parvo and his body couldn't fight off the shock and blood loss from the multilation as well as the Parvo. He passed away. Vitus had his ears cut with scissors by a “tweaker” in Modesto Ca. A good Samaritan couple came across this puppy bleeding profusely and in shock, he was tied up outside of a business off of Crowslanding Rd. It is believed that the perpetrator was inside getting another pair of scissors to finish his mutilation job. The good Samaritans scooped him up while the “owner” told them to leave the dog alone and went back inside the store. They continued down the street and a second couple of good Samaritans stopped to see if the puppy was alright. It was explained to them, what had happened. The second couple asked them to let them get the puppy medical help. Rescues were called and it was recommended that they contact Kate’s Rescue because “they take in cases like this”. Julia did not hesitate to send them to Dr Basra for help with his mutilated ears. I can’t imagine the pain this baby endured! Dr Basra as always with his kind heart, helped this baby and Kate's Rescue is handling the bill.
Fast forward a day………Puppy has started to vomit and has diarrhea. Positive test for Parvo. This is so heartbreaking…this baby has already been through so much. He is now being treated in house, thanks to the generosity of Dr Basra. Kate’s rescue still has to cover this bill and will, but we could REALLY use some help with this baby’s bill. The bill will be approximately $700 total for the ear surgery and Parvo treatment.
Kate's Resuce loves to help in situations like this, where help may not be available for the dog unless a third party can step forward and offer assistance with the bills. Because there is a surplus on the gofundme account, we pledge to start free vaccination clinics in Modesto and Los banos this early summer so other dogs donot have to lose thier lives to Parvo. Kate's Rescue is located in the Los Banos/Modesto area, and is a foster-based rescue, which simply means, our dogs live in homes with foster families until they are adopted.
Every dollar helps, if you need to make sure this is on the up and up…please call
