As most of you know, the Schanewolf and BMX family is grieving the loss of a wonderful Father, Opah, and Great Opah.  He was a longtime friend to so many and always willing to give whatever he could to support his family, community and BMX team.  Loyal as they come, he took care of his wife for many years as she deteriorated while battling late Alzheimers, a true testimony to marriage and vows of in sickness and health .  A business owner of Schanewolf Cycle Sport in Shelby, NC for over 20 years, he also put his life into his store along with his national BMX team that supported so many kids.  Because of his generous spirit,  John's savings have been exhausted over the years and life insurance policy is not active.  The family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support.  Many of you have asked what you can do....if you feel inclined, we are working together to  gather funds and give John Schanewolf the burial and celebration of life he so deserves.  The service is planned for this Wednesday, 9/7/16 @ 2pm at Cecil Burton Funeral Home in Shelby, NC and we look forward to celebrating his life and legacy together.
