Shasta's Recovery
Donation protected
Shasta came into my life a few weeks ago, in harsh condition. My friend found her on Craigslist, and unfortunately was unable to keep her. She originally came from a breeder, was the last pup to go, and was passed along every few weeks. Including mine, Shasta has been through five homes in five months. That's a home a month. And due to her sweet nature, people wanted her but didn't have the means to provide a good home for her, and sadly she was neglected. I took her in as a temporary foster dog, and recently started to question her unusually reserved nature. I took her to the vet the next day and they were concerned. They informed me not only was she emaciated, but also had flea problems, a bad case of worms, and hip issues. She still needs a majority of her vaccines and needs to be spayed. The vets want to wait a few weeks and do further testing, along with x-rays for her hips. Which could result in surgery. I paid for her treatment of worms and fleas. Ive got her on a healthy diet to combat her malnutrition. The vet wants to see how she does over the next week and then intends to test her to make sure we aren't dealing with a more chronic issue. I have fallen in love with Shasta and want to keep her. I hope to, but I am not financially equipped. Any donation would go straight to Shasta, regardless of who ends up keeping her. Hopefully with your help she can stay with me. I want to her to be better than I found her. She is such a sweet girl, she just needs the proper care. Thank you.
