Terra Gilbert hates that Judi and I are starting this page. She has done everything in life the hard way, and has done it exceptionally well. She's a single mom, who works too much, donates too much of herself, cares, worries and sometimes loves too much, and NEVER puts herself first. Her son, Shaun, is as good of a kid as there is. I managed him in little league for 4 years while Terra was my assistant coach. This is a truly, special duo. In a few days, Terra will be headed to Boston for brain surgery. After the surgery, once Terra beats the odds (and she WILL beat them) her short-term disability through, Aflac, is shorting her $600 a month from her usual salary due to a human resource mistake. She will be out of work for 2 months. On top of this, she has bottom of the barrel health insurance and has a FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR deductible. I'm not sure how the health care industry lives with themselves, but she had to max out credit cards in a desperate attempt to pay this. Please don't be mad at us Terra for doing this. You know damn well you would be the very first person to give, if one of us were in the same situation. To all of Terra’s and our friends, if you can't donate, PLEASE share this post. We all love you Terra, and we all know how strong you are, but we will be there for you, no matter how much you insist, on doing this on your own.
