Hello my  name is Jon Shallbetter.  This week I will be raising money for The Seeing Eye Organization.  Their mission is to "enhance the independence, dignity and self-confidence of people who are blind, through the use of specially trained Seeing Eye dogs." 

I will be running in a half-marthon on Sunday, September 11.  The proceeds will be donated to The Seeing Eye Organization (seeingeye.org).  I hope to have all the funds collected by Saturday, September 10. 

This means so much to me because several years ago my sister's vision was impaired by a condition called Optic Neuritis.  She is now legally blind and using a seeing eye dog as an assistant.  This is a remarkable organization and your donatations will definitley further their cause.
