For the past five years, Skyline High School has been the only school in the Oakland Unified School District without a student-run newspaper publication. The Oracle Newspaper was the life and blood of our student body. However, due to lack of funding and support, Skyline hasn't had a bold student voice in years.

We are in desperate need of this newspaper to arm our students with confidence, communication skills, and student input regarding the happenings of campus. Since it is been over five years since we have had a school news paper in full circulation,  our student body hasn't had a proper impact on campus. We hope to finally have this paper back in the hands of our students again and give them the power to share their imput. 

For this reason, the Skyline Oracle Staff is raising money for basic chromebooks to type articles on, basic cameras to take pictures with, and the minimum amount of funds it would take to get the newspaper back onto the printing press for our re-established school newspaper and website.
