This is my first marathon and I've decided to do this for Hugh's House.
Hugh's House offers accomodation for parents of children that are in Temple Street Hospital.
I am very lucky to have 3 healthy children, but unfortunately, there are many families who have children in hospital for long durations. Hugh's House offers accommodation and food and in a way "a second home" for these families.
Money raised will go into the further development of Hugh's House, including a new End of life suite.
Training is going well. I signed up to a 16 week programme that involves running 5 days a week: 1 long run, intervals, a tempo run and 2 recovery runs.
Having visited Hugh's House and seeing the benefit it brings to so many families, it has really inspired me and is keeping me motivated to stick to the plan.
