TOUGH AS BUCK
No matter what or where or how bad...when you hear the word Cancer it puts a pit in your stomach that doesn't ever seem to go away. It's some form of doctor appointments for the rest of your life. It's being poked and prodded, a new routine, raised blood pressure everytime you go for a follow up. But it's also family coming together, lots of people praying intense prayers, making the most of every day you are given. And friends trying to figure out how they can fly across the country to go hunt with you days leading up to surgery or just what is the best way to help. It's really touching. The number of people that have already reached out to me, I can't imagine how many people have reached out to him...aka in my house as "Michael Paul" most of the restuarant industry in Oklahoma City and Bozeman "Buck." And it seems a lot of people say first and last name together "Mike Buck."
Whatever you call him, you know it is just like him ...10 days before surgery he just wants to make sure every deer/elk tag he has is going to be used!! Doctors are saying he is going to be down for about 8 weeks. That's most of hunting season. I think cancer may be the only thing that could keep him from hunting season.
MPB has a lot of close friends-I have already had numerous people reach out to me that I didn't realize what an impact he has had in their lives at one time or another. I can't count the number of times or even try to think of the number of favors, sweet gestures, crunch situations he has helped me with (or gotten me into)and the hundreds of people over the years that light up when they learn I am Mike Buck's cousin. We are close-and I am so thankful for that. I kind of have a grudge against Bozeman. I hardly get to see him anymore but he's still one of my best friends. However-I think a lot of people will say that.
The short of it is...he's got a mass on his kidney that is malignent. And surgery is a must. But he was smart and was able to catch it early. SO we are praying...praying hard for everyone involved that every decision is clear, that Michael Paul feels the prayers and comforted going in to this. Pray they will remove the mass and one of his kidneys and we will be done.
If you can't get to Bozeman to show him some love, but you still want to help, I think he would be forever grateful for any financial contributions.
If you want to mail him anything:
1627 W. Main Street #119

The funds from GoFundMe are going directly to his account.
We are all here for you Michael Paul!! Let's do this and beat it!
