Helping Hands for Happy Train
Donation protected
As you may know, our beloved, Walter Lyman Jr has been recently diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After battling what he believed to be a furious flu over the course of this past year, Walt sought the help of a doctor, who found a cancerous mass behind his stomach. Walt is now in intensive treatment, and is prepared to fight and win against this disease. To assist with costs, we would like to start this page as a way to help Walt and his family through this difficult time.
As a Customer Relations Assistant Manager, Walt has made numerous contributions in all departments in every way. He is truly the embodiment of “relaxed and friendly”. Whether he is greeting customers on their way to service, giving pep talks at weekly sales meetings, or spearheading projects to better a customer’s experience, Walt does it with the highest level of enthusiasm and sincerity. His constant smile and friendly conversation for each person he meets elevates the dealership, and truly makes Toyota Carlsbad a wonderful place to visit!
One of the projects Walt has always wanted to implement is the official “Bowtie Friday,” in honor of his signature and daily bowtie. With its start date last Friday, his co-workers are happy to announce “Bowtie Fridays” are now an established day at Toyota Carlsbad. We encourage you to wear a bowtie on Fridays, so we can share photos with Walt during the course of his treatment. In Walt’s absence, we would like to keep the “Happy Train” going, so he can pick it back up when he returns.
As you can imagine, the intensive treatment Walt is undergoing is resulting in costly medical bills. To support Walt through this process, we have started this page to help him in the best way we can. 100% of what is raised on this page is dedicated to Walter, his treatment and recovery. We are setting a goal of $10,000.00, and all donations big or small are greatly appreciated. If Walter has touched your life, please cherish that moment and give a little to thank him.
