Hey everyone,

Life threw us a major curveball this year. I lost my job out of the blue when some bigwig asset management firm took over my company and decided to "restructure" (aka, fire a bunch of us). Since then, it's been a real uphill battle.

I've sent out over 2,000 resumes – seriously, you wouldn't believe how many – and gone on tons of interviews. But I keep hitting a wall. Some places say I've had too many jobs since the pandemic (thanks, COVID!), and others say I'm "overqualified" for entry-level stuff even though I have years of experience. It's beyond frustrating.

Honestly, I feel like I'm failing my family. My wife is going through a really tough time and needs help with her mental health, and I have heart issues to deal with. We have a daughter in college and two amazing little boys – they're the best! We just bought a house a couple of months before I got laid off, thinking we were finally getting ahead. Now, we're barely keeping our heads above water.

I've been praying like crazy and leaning on my faith, but it's hard not to feel lost right now. It's embarrassing to even have to ask, but we're in a tough spot. If everyone we know could chip in just $5, it would be a huge help. It would give us some breathing room while I keep searching for work.
