One Man Marathon for One Fund Boston

Greetings... As most of you know, The Boston Marathon has long been a very special event to me and my family. Having been fortunate enough to qualify for and run it 7 times, the events of this year have been extremely painful to bear. I can't help but feel deeply for all the spectators who were directly affected, just for being there to cheer loved ones, and think about how many times my family has been doing just the same for me. Call it luck that participating in this year's race wasn't in my plans and we were not there.

In a show of support, on Saturday, May 11, 2013 (exactly 26 days since this year's Boston Marathon), I will be running a full marathon, 26.2 miles in a "One Man Marathon" around my town of Grafton, MA, to raise money for One Fund Boston, the official fund established to support the victims. The route will be a series of 3-5 mile loops out from our house if anyone would like to join in for any part.

I would greatly appreciate any monetary support you can give, $5, $10, maybe even $26.20. All the donations will go to One Fund Boston, which has been set up to help provide victims with financial support for their lengthy recovery, which may include prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation and psychological counseling.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this page and thank you for your support.
