Help for Scooter the Clown
Howard Todd Griffith, from Fraziers Bottom, WV was a Ringling Brothers Circus clown for 6 years. One night backstage in Fort Worth, TX he collapsed with a seizure. At the hospital he was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain. He underwent 3 brain surgeries, chemo, and radiation. After 6 long months he was able to come back home to West Virginia. Missing what he loved to do best, which was clowning, he started doing birthday parties, restaurants, and other events. He even had me join in on his fun and taught me how to paint faces. His business took off quickly and he was doing events every week and weekend. We would work the Do-Whop car show 3 yrs in a row in Charleston and worked for the Greenbrier quite often . This August would have made 6 years in remission. Then, he started having bad headaches and feeling dizzy. His cancer had came back. He now suffers with a terminal cancer known as GBM. He underwent his 4th brain surgery last Wednesday, August 24, but they couldn't get everything they needed to.
This past Thursday they were getting him ready for physical therapy and when they came back in the room they noticed he was unresponsive. They did CPR on him for about 40 min and finally got him stable. They put him on life support and found out later he had a massive stroke and would be a vegetable the rest of his life. Anyone that knows Todd would known he would hate that. Our family had to make a hard decision tonight to take him off life support. He died at 12:15 am with all his family and friends beside him. This money now that we are collecting will go for funeral expenses and a burial plot. Todd doesn't have a living will or life insurance. I appreciate all your support and prayers
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
