As a mother, I am broken that I can't do this on my own. I am putting this out in the universe to try and help my adult child raise funds to help cover a portion of the costs of her recent surgery and the financial loss of her contribution to the household.

Chelsea has just had ACL replacement and meniscus repair on her left leg. Unfortunately, this injury has been a huge burden on her family as the initial injury happened 3 months ago and limited her ability to work full shifts (and when you're in the food service industry, that puts a big dent in your bank account as she relies heavily on tips). She finally found a doctor that actually listened to her, and he discovered that she did indeed cause major injuries and was in need of surgery.

Recovery will be 6-8 weeks (minimal), and in her occupation, there are no FMLA benefits, so her total income is gone for now until she is able to return to work.
