Hi all,
As many of you may be aware, on Wednesday, May 15, Drew was admitted to the ICU with acute liver failure. Fortunately, on Sunday, May 19, he underwent an emergency liver transplant, a procedure that quite literally saved his life. Following the surgery, he spent a week in the Transplant ICU and has now been moved to a regular room at Mt. Sinai. We expect him to be released from the hospital on Monday, June 3.
The most important piece is that Drew's recovery is going very well and we are so thankful for the amazing medical team who did this lifesaving work.
And, the work is not over. Drew has a long road ahead of him as he heals and adjusts to his new normal and liver. The first three months of recovery are the most difficult and critical and -- this is where YOU come in!
We know many of you have been asking how to support Drew in this critical recovery period and one of the ways you can help is by making a financial gift. Your gift will help cover the costs of:
- Medical bills
- Transportation to/from follow-up appointments
- Lost wages
- Meals and groceries
- Preparation of the home (air purifiers, etc...)
And all of the other little things that will help Drew make a full recovery.
Your support, at any level, is very much appreciated!
If you have any questions about making a gift or would like more information please use the contact button below and one of us will get back to you.
