Trailer Replacement Fund

I'm Melanie, the artist behind Wayward Leather Design.
Headed to a show, I was hit by a distracted driver on his cell phone. We had hit a slow down in traffic where there was construction, he failed to notice, and slammed into the back of the trailer I was towing,
While my van sustained some damage with some of the engine needing repair after being jarred in the impact, it was the trailer that took the majority of the damage. The hinges to the door were damaged, the door bent and the wood shattered. The force of the impact warped the flood and popped the rivets, and was strong enough to actually bend the draw bar (a solid, inch piece of steel) up 20 degrees.
The accident left us stranded, needing emergency repairs, and scrambling to make emergency arrangements,
I then discovered that the man who causes the accident gave false insurance information. I have ahead of me a long battle to try to recoup anything, which may or may not work.
Worst of all, the trailer was my father's. Over the years, he has let me use it for many shows, both for my things and for fellow vendors to borrow. I always use it with the promise of returning it in its original state, and I'm devastated that it was destroyed.
I appreciate any help so that I can replace my father's trailer, and help with some of the costs I am incurring while in this emergency.
thank you, and I appreciate any help.
