Richie was a co-worker that ran into some medical issues and was scheduled to have a surgical procedure performed to remove the majority of one of his kidneys on July 13th, due the findings of a tumorous growth identified during some testing. Richie had to take a medical leave from work in preparation of this surgery. Unfortunately, 3 days prior his surgery Richie suffered a severe stroke that landed him in ICU; where he is currently still hospitalized. After 3 weeks in ICU, Richie is slowly starting to make progress and able to communicate in a minor way.... He has a long road ahead of him to be strong enough to have surgery, he still so desperately needs.
My goal is to try and raise money to provide to Richie and his girlfriend (Teresa) to help them through this difficult time. This tragic event has put them in a tough position and Richie may not be able to work for a long time, if ever at all again... Anyone that knows or has been around Richie, knows that he would go out of his way to do "anything for anyone" no matter how much he had on his plate. He always strived to make everyone happy and do whatever was necessary to please anyone in need.
