Project Transform: Single Mothers Emergency

Muslims Giving Back presents: Project Transform
Asalaamualikum, we recently visited 2 families (BOTH single mothers with young children) in Brooklyn, NY. We were shocked and sad to see their living condition and their story.
1st Family:
She is only 29 years old with 2 young boys, 4yrs and 2yrs old, who's husband has been in coma due to a deadly car accident in July which 5 people died. Since then, she has been alone and working part time trying to make ends meet and keep up with her past rent that keeps accumulating. She has NO FAMILY here and they are all back home in Pakistan. Her rent is $1,400 and she is behind 1 month. Our goal is to help her cover the past due rent plus any months if possible.
2nd Family:
She is only 26 years old with two little girls, 2 yrs old and 5 month old, and a survivor of a domestic violence marriage. Her ex-husband abandoned her and his daughters 5 months ago while she was 9 months pregnant. Since then, she has been alone with no family in the U.S and has been trying to find work. Every piece of furniture in her apartment has been donated or found in the streets. She does not have winter clothing for herself or her daughters. Our goal is to FULLY furnish her apartment, including purchasing winter clothing, as well as helping her with at least 3 months of rent. Her rent is $1,375 and she is 2 months behind.
PLEASE help us help this family and TRANSFORM their lives. These are young mothers who have no one to help them. They need our help to start a new life for themselves and their young children.
This project is ZAKAT ELIGIBLE.
