Money For Monya...

On August 30, Lemonya (Monya, Lemon, Lil Lem) Clark died suddenly in the arms of his beloved mother after a hard fought battle against Sickle Cell Anemia. He was funny, loyal, smart, positive, and kind Amazingly, despite his transfusions, pain and struggles, Lemonya Clark did not complain. Ever. He was a graduate of Oxford High School and a student at OCC with his big brother and best friend, Taghee. Monya loved his friends, his family, his siblings and above all else, he loved his hero...his mama. Today, as the staff at Oxford High School mourned our amazing former student, we wondered how to best help his family. We reflected on what Lemonya would want us to do. LeMonya would say, "You guys, I'm fine. I'm happy and I feel great.....just help my mom." Without a doubt, Lemon would want all of us to wrap up his mom in love, prayers and support. Lil Lem deserves to be buried in the way he lived his life....with class and style. Every dime of the money raised will go directly to his mother for his hospital and funeral expenses.
