RYAN'S STORY: LET'S PRAY FOR A MIRACLE

The Beginning
11/26/2013

Ryan was in a four-wheeling accident late Sunday night. It was dark and he was unable to see a tree. Kaleb, a good friend, carried him back to the truck where Ryan was immediately unconscious. The ambulance drove Ryan from Willis to Memorial Hermann Emergency Room; within the ambulance they gave him paralytics and put him on a breathing machine. Ryan reached the hospital around 1 a.m. Monday morning.
Ryan has a team of neurosurgeons working together to help him. He was moved from the ER to the NeuroScience ICU at about 3am.
The CT scan shows brain stem trauma and both sides of the brain have suffered bleeding. The immediate impact caused major strokes on both sides of the brain, this is the reason he is on a breathing machine. Ryan is in a deep coma, but we are waiting by his side when he awakes.
The doctors have deemed Ryan's accident inoperable, but we know that one touch of God's hand will completely restore his brain and make him better than before.
been 10 months since disaster struck, and after three months at home, Ryan is back at TIRR in Houston to continue his fight and recovery! We are continuing to give all the glory to God and are patiently waiting on Gods timing! Don't forget to keep praying because His work isn't finished in our little fighter ❤️

WE ARE JOYFUL. RYAN IS BLESSED.
A quick update on Ryan. He is has been home for a few weeks now. There are no complaints. He is so happy and is doing amazing. Ryan wakes up with a smile on his face every morning and hugs you tight before going to bed. He has told Mom how happy he is to be back. Sometimes he is leery about being left again, or even going to touchstone for appointments.
Ryan has expressed his interest in special Olympics and wheelchair basketball. He will also be receiving outpatient or home bound therapy to continue with physical, speech, and occupational progressions.
Ryan is able to go anywhere we go, and he loves it! He loves being apart of the family. I cannot express in words the joy I feel when I see his pure happiness. It is truly amazing.
Ryan has been registered for Willis High School for the fall of 2015! He will work towards finishing his last year of schooling and getting his High School Diploma. I know he will work hard and succeed in whatever he sets his mind to, with the help of our Lord.
God has opened our eyes in so many ways. He has redefined blessings, love, life, strength, and faith in my life personally. Ryan is an image of God's beautiful work and healing. I am more aware of the importance of family and life.
Ryan still has healing and an upward battle of therapy, but we are on the UPSIDE! All of the glory goes to God. Nobody else and nothing else can explain Ryan's testimony. HE IS OUR HEALER OF ALL THINGS!

Thank you for the love, support, faith, and prayers you have sent my little brother and my family.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
This past May 2016 Ryan graduated from Willis High School!
