Terri and her girls Lauren and Ashley are loved by so many people. Terri’s love for everyone she met was so evident and truly impacted so many people. She was a light and encouragement to all who knew her. We see the things we loved about Terri reflected also in her girls. All the memories and the special aspects of who Terri was lives on daily through them. To honor her life and the gift she was to us, we wanted to give others an opportunity to bless them.

Terri Lynn Yon, 56, of Jacksonville, went home to be with The Lord on September 13, 2021. She was heavily involved in the youth department or any event for Evangel Temple Assembly of God in Jacksonville. She was a lover of life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially at the lake and beach. Most of all, she took advantage of every moment and was involved in everything that included her girls. She was a dance/tennis mom, drama coordinator, photographer, a loyal friend, and the list continues. Mrs. Yon was preceded in death by her father, Alvy Earl Toland; mother, Doris Louise Vanderwedge; step-father, Robert “Bob” Vanderwedge, and twin brother Larry A. Toland.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin D. Yon; 2 daughters, Ashley Yon Yost (Matthew) & Lauren Yon; brothers, Ronald E. Tuten; sisters, Elaine C. Miles, Wanda L. Yon, and Jeanette A. Welch and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 12 NOON Friday, September 17, 2021 at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 5755 Ramona Blvd., Jacksonville, FL with interment in Shady Grove Cemetery near Grand Ridge, FL later in the afternoon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
