I don't know where to start...

I don't want to start and I never even imagined having to do something like this, but it's something I want to do for my best friend / brother from another mother.

Brian Gibson, beloved father to a beautiful son Liam and Husband to an amazing wife Lisa recently passed away unexpectedly on August 28th, 2016.   It's impossible to summarize the broship I've built w/ B in just a few paragraphs.  And honestly, it is even harder to contine to read and edit this, because our stories and experiences could go on and on. So here is a just a glimpse in how much he has touched MY life, just one of many people who his memory will continue to live in.

I met Brian in the summer of 2009 when he followed up on a lead for a potential job off Monster for a dispatching position at Kaplan Trucking.  With no prior expierence to trucking he came into the interview and killed it!  Once he started there he immeadiately hit if off with anyone he came in contact with.  Coworkers, drivers or any customers he dealt with on a daily basis...but if you know Brian that's easy to do.  He's a guys' guy.  Easy to talk to, loves Chicago sports teams (minus the Sox), enjoys a good cocktail (light ice), has a WIDE range of music from Biggie to (insert country artist here).  We never saw eye to eye on country but him and Lisa would take advantage of seeing any show they could live.  But most importantly he was just a genuinely sincere dude that was interested in what you had to say.  He was compasionate.  You couldn't always tell that from his scruffy, tough guy looking image.,.but he was a loving teddy bear on the inside.  He wasn't just my bear but his family's bear.  His family meant the world to him.  We took lunches together at least 4 times a week (sorry Eric we lied).  We just got each other like that.  You think you'd get sick of seeing someone you work with 45+ hours a week, +5 hours a week for week on lunch breaks and not to mention the countless hours we spent after work over a good Crown and Coke or Vodka / Red Bull, but there was just something about him.  I couldn't get tired of seeing him b/c no matter how bad of a day I had or he had, we always made it better for each other.

Our lives were so interweaved, that he was apart of my every day, of ever week. Which makes it very easy to continue to add countless stories of our experiences filled with laughter and smiles, times full of craziness, fun, support and love, 7+ years full of the best kind of friendship. But now,  think of your own times with B. Share them, remember them, live them. Mine will never be forgotten, and never ever be able to be replaced. This is an unexpected tragity, and not the way I ever thought I would be expressing my love for this guy. It will continue to grow everyday, because i will miss him everyday.

Please join myself in supporting his family during this extremely difficult time.  All proceeds donated will be used toward the funeral services and any related costs.   ALL MONEY DONATED WILL BE MATCHED BY KAPLAN TRUCKING COMPANY.   We are all extremely saddened by this tragedy and are extremely grateful for ANY and all support.
