Peanut Butter + Jesus Missions Trip
Donation protected
In 1996, I was adopted from Kosovo, Albania. I was abandoned from a very young age. I have no information about any birth family members. I have done all that I can to reach out and get a hold of anyone, but it seems as though God has closed this door for some reason.
I was placed in an orphanage at the age of 5 and was adopted by an American family at the age of 8. The Lord has a purpose for my life, he rescued me and brought me to America. Because the area that I was found in as a child, it was no longer safe for me to be there due to the fact that it was a war zone during that time.
The Lord has blessed me with a big family here in America whom I have grown to love. I grew up with 9 sisters and two brothers.
Because of my traumatic upbringing, I have a difficult time with watching children suffer, whether it be due to neglect, lack of nutrition, lack of attention from people, or lack of proper care. Although it is a constant trigger for me to watch children and families suffer and not have essentials to survive such as food, water, shelter, and shoes, I know that the Lord has allowed me to struggle tremendously and experience a lot of loss from a young age so that I can only grow closer to him so that he can be glorified in return!
I have always known that the Lord has built a missionary’s heart deep within me and that he wanted me to properly respond when that time came. Although I am beyond nervous, scared, and a little bit frantic about heading to Malawi, Africa, I know that the Lord will use this trip to better serve the Kingdom but to also grow me spiritually and heal from past wounds.
PB&J is a non-profit organization designed specifically to eradicate Severe Acute Malnutrition in underdeveloped nations. PB+J Foods helps locals in these areas to build self-sustaining economies through the local manufacturing of a fortified peanut butter paste, which support local medical facilities and health care education programs, and by providing assistance in the development and commercialization of local farmer co-ops (PB&J Foods, INC, 2016).
I have learned, that this life is not easy. Life is fragile, precious, but also very short. I do not want to waste my time wishing that I would have trusted God with allowing me to head towards the mission’s field. I know that he owns all of the money in the world, so I am trusting that he will pay for it all!! I know that he can, he just wants to make sure that I can believe that he would provide in such a way. I need to have $ 4000 saved before May of 2017. $4,000 is a lot of money, but if I am able to raise this with your assistance, I am able to make this trip and head to Malawi and spread the love of God with these people. Please bless me with the opportunity of spiritual growth.
This trip will allow me to create community with these people. It will provide me with better knowledge about their cultural background and how they are influenced spiritually. If given this opportunity to bless these people with the love of God, this would create a lot of personal closure, but also would provide them with a helping hand with whatever needs there are to meet if I am able to assist. If God lays it on your heart to bless me financially with whatever dollar amount, I want to thank you for trusting him in this manner by responding and giving.
If you are able to financially assist, thank you!!!! If you are not able to financially assist at this time, please pray for me and my journey either way!
Blessings to you all,
