We hate to ask, but it has become overwhelming.. This is my mom's 2nd fight against cancer. She has been fighting for almost 2 years now. She has stage 4 colon cancer that has spread all over. She beat stage 3 ovarian cancer a decade ago, so we remain optimistic. My dad retired because of injuries a few years ago and they live on a fixed income. We have tried to handle this as a family and not go to outside sources for help. My parents won't even go on food stamps. I finally asked them to do this because it tears me up to see my Dad, who has been an excellent provider for us for so many years while breaking his body down at the plants, worried about paying the light bill. M.D. Anderson is a fantastic hospital, but they don't even validate parking... Every aspect of fighing cancer is costly. Physically, financially and emotionally. I know times are tough all around, but if you have a few bucks you can throw their way, we would greatly appreciate it. The last few weeks have been tough on my mom's body. I need to build a wheelchair ramp and make some mods to their house. I'll do all the work, just need to get the materials. The rest will go towards my parents bills. Thanks for your time.
