Hi, friends. As most of you know, Logan found out Thursday, May 14th that he has leukemia. After months of extreme fatigue, weekly migraines, chest pain, and many other symptoms, he went to have blood work done, and the most unexpected diagnosis hit us all.

He was immediately referred to Vanderbilt, where they admitted him and began testing to determine the severity of the situation. As of today (5/15), he has undergone a leukapheresis to filter his blood to lower his white blood cell count (which was at 250,000). After 6 hours, they were finally able to get his levels under 100,000 (normal being 10,000), and were able to do the bone marrow biopsy.

From the biopsy, it has shown that he has acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), which is a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It happens when the body starts making too many immature white blood cells (called lymphoblasts), and those crowd out the healthy blood cells your body needs. The good news is, this can be curable with intense chemotherapy, which will require him to have a hospital stay anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.

As we all know, this is going to be a very stressful time for both Logan and Audrey, especially with their boys being away, and Audrey pregnant with their baby girl. Logan is more so worried about supporting his family rather than healing, so I pray this brings peace to him and takes just one stressor off of their plate.

Most importantly, we covet your prayers asking that Logan will remain steadfast in his faith, and continue to stay strong to fight this. We ask for prayers for Audrey, Nash, Tyke, and baby Nella. We have seen the goodness of God and know that this will be no different.
