A giving, compassionate and gentle family was struck on Saturday when a wrong-way drunk driver hit the the mom and youngest daughter head-on. Mom and daughter were sent to separate hospitals; daughter taken by flight-for-life. The drunk driver of this horror died. My friends, whose identities I hope to protect as much as possible, are lucky to be alive.
You couldn't know a better family! Julie is a volunteer who works with crime victims, always gives her heart to make someone else's tragedy a little easier to bear. When she isn't taking care of strangers, she makes every minute count with her four wonderful, beautiful kids. Her supportive husband owns his own company, but makes sure his family is always the #1 priority.
Its hard enough to stretch a single-source income for a family. Now Dad and rest of the kids are also stretching time across two hospitals while working to keep a business running. They need help and are too humble to ask for it.
