I never thought I would be here, asking strangers for help — but love leaves you no choice.

Xena is not “just a dog.” She is my family, my emotional support, my safe place in this world. She has been with me through fear, exhaustion, and new beginnings in a new country. When I was strong, she walked beside me. When I wasn’t, she stayed close — silently protecting me.

Now she needs me.

Xena has been diagnosed with a sarcoma tumor, a form of cancer that requires urgent surgery and continued medical care. She doesn’t understand what cancer is. She only knows pain, confusion, and that she trusts me completely to protect her.

Hearing that your best friend has cancer is devastating. Knowing that money may stand between her and a chance to live is unbearable.
