Hi everyone, I am Angie Byers the DON at Countryside Estates in Cherokee, Iowa. I have the privilege of working with Jacoba Wilde. As we all know, she is an amazing young lady with huge heart that would do anything and everything for her children, family, friends and residents. Now it is our turn to show her our love and support as she goes through some serious health issues.

As many of you may know she has been fighting an intense illness the last few weeks that has made it impossible for her to work even thought she still felt it was necessary. (Yes, I had to send her home from work that is how devoted she is to her job!) On Friday, she was admitted to Cherokee Regional Medical Center with pneumonia. After battling for most of the weekend, she was transferred to Mercy Medical Center this morning. After arriving in Sioux City she was informed that, she will be placed on life support for 1-3 weeks.

Jacoba and Pedro have two small children and with Christmas right around the corner, I thought this is the least we could do to show our support and ease the stress and burden of any financial situation that they will endure these next few weeks. We want them to be able to concentrate on her health and full recovery!
