Help w/ Uninsured Medical Emergency
Donation protected
On October 1st, I had to be rushed to the emergency room for acute appendicitis and peritonitis. The doctors performed a laproscopic appendectomy, and did a fantastic job helping me recover.
(below is a picture of my patient wristband)

Unfortunately, I am uninsured and unemployed.
The hospital I went to provided a discount for uninsured emergency patients, but the discount only extended to hospital supplies. It meant that I still have to payfull price for medication, the doctor's fees while they were treating me, and subsequent check-ups.
My total for this whole charade is $5889.00 dollars, which even with the hospital's most generous payment plan I cannot afford on my own.
I usually only get a small stipend; just enough to pay rent and pay for food, but it's not enough to pay these bills off. After this surgery, I cannot afford to be intimidated by or cut-off from further emergency treatments if I need them.
Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it.
If you have any questions, feel free to msg me through my tumblr.
