During Maria's 1st prenancy she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis. This disease attacks muscle and skin and can leave the individual in a severely weakened state. In June of this year, even after numerous medical and holistic treaments, the disease left her without the ability to stand on her own or even swallow. She was hospitalized for more than two months including multiple procedures and a stay in the ICU.
Fortunately, Maria is now at home recovering and getting stronger with in-home nursing and therapy. However, her private insurance policy dropped her in March 2016, and state insurance didn't kick in until the 3rd week in August after she was already released from the hospital. In-patient hospital care in Wisconsin averages close to $2000 per day, placing a large financial burden on Maria and her family.
Please continue to pray for Maria and her family. She and Andy are so grateful for your support.
With love and thanks,
