Scott Dorsett, one of the most beloved people in all of  Waxahachie and Ellis County Texas, was involved in a tragic accident on Wednesday, August 24. While jogging Wednesday night, Scott was hit by a Ford F150 truck resulting in life-threatening injuries. Scott was airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas where he remains in crticial condition in ICU today.

Scott is the loving husband to Johnna and adored dad of Logan and Kennedy. Scott is also the oldest of four children - the brother to three beautiful sisters. Scott is extraordinary in so many ways and, as the photojournalist of the local paper for decades, has captured the essence of his community in extraordinary ways. Scott has been part of Waxahachie's fabric his whole life and has told thousands of stories with his camera covering a span of 40 years.

Scott's recovery will be long and expensive. Without Scott's income, we know the hardship on the family will be siginifcant. That is the reason for this GoFundMe page - to assist the Dorsett's in paying Scott's medical expenses as well as other expenses created by this tragedy.
